Eccentric filmmaker Daniel Thwaites cares for his invalid mother and is plagued by recurring visceral memories. When Francis, a close friend who lives in the gloomy confines of the house on the hill comes to visit, Daniel discovers unsettling journal entries that bring to light his bizarre and regretful past lives. After Francis confronts an eerie man named Bill who stands in a field watching over the Thwaites’s residence, Daniel realizes that he must accept the inevitable misery of bearing witness to the End Times on a non-linear loop. In this unwelcome revelation, the uncaring universe will test him, and all, beyond measure.
